Bahman Yazdanfar landed in Toronto as an immigrant twenty four years ago, at the age of 27;
he began to learn English and familiarize himself with the local culture which was very different from Iran, where he was born and raised, Afghanistan,
where he attended university, and Europe where he was residing before his arrival to Canada.
Like many newcomers, Bahman started from scratch by working in a factory as a general labour while trying to get back in to
the medical field. Unfortunately policies and laws of the land at that time were not favorable and he had to choose another career.
Bahman started by pounding the pavements of Toronto for his job search. After receiving his citizenship in 1990, he travelled from coast to coast to discover Canada; even though he has been traveling in
more than a dozen countries prior to his arrival, Bahman learnt that Canada is one of the most attractive nations in the world due to
the fact that people from all cultures, backgrounds, races, and religions, live side-by-side in a peaceful environment.
Bahman enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan to improve his English language, before following his dream to British Columbia
where he lived about four years in the city of Vancouver.
Upon his return to Toronto, Bahman started his own small advertising company to help retailers and merchants to promote their small to
medium size businesses; since then he has been advancing his knowledge and developing new systems in order to provide necessary training
and consulting for those business owners who are facing serious challenges and hardship in their daily activities.
During the last seventeen years, Bahman witnessed the day-by-day local retailers and merchants gradually losing their hope of prosperity,
mainly due to the restricted policies and taxes that are imposed by different level of governments, as well as lack of proper
management of market economy by the bank authorities.
Bahman has always believed that a stable economy free from useless restrictions benefits communities, and on the other hand,
unmotivated environment will make society dull in the long run, and danger relies on the fact that could become very suitable medium
for corruption and crime; that is why he enters into politics to apply his knowledge and experience in an attempt to make a difference.
Bahman wants you, the public, observe how these major politcal parties run their campaigns, so you can be sure that they run the
government in the same manner; instead of focusing on resolving issues that affect every citizen in this vast, beautiful land, they
spend their time finding faults with their rivals at the expense of tax payers. |
